Default Need help with getting Tach signal for Traqmate

as stated above, I have a Traqmate in my 350z...but I am having trouble getting a valid Tach signal to feed to TraqDash. I used the OEM "timing loop" wire that is used for setting engine timing to feed the appropriate cable sold by TraqMate. However My Traqmate doesn't see a usable signal.

What wire do you guys use?

Yes, I say that unit...but I really didn't want to start cutting all my coil wires The MSD is inductive so no wires are cut

What wires did you use to feed the Autometer device?

BTW Thnx for the info!

just had to cut one wire. The power feed wire to the coils, was easy to access in the main part of the loom at the base of the windscreen. my 350s are RHD but for me it was the passenger side.

Thnx!

I have relocated my battery to the rear, so all those wires/cables runs are easy to get at now.
