video from HPDE @ ROEBLING ROAD
back in November, me and my buddy took our Z's out to Roebling Road for the ReZoom HPDE. it was an incredible event, and since there was a small turnout, we had ALOT of track time and i got alot of laps that felt like i was the only person on the track. The NISMO worked its usual charm and PWNED! heres the link to my youtube video. feel free to critique my racing line if you have any suggestions. toward the end i have video from the front bumper to show my racing line really well.

i can pull the music out... i decided to add in the music bc while i was watching the edit, i found myself getting bored and having difficulty finishing watching it.... so i figured id add something to keep the interest. ill have to upload a second version to do that tho.
the outside camera sound is really bad bc of all the wind noise.

This is how much i love you guys. im currently rendering a copy to upload that has no music. just for you guys. so stay tuned!

Looks like you turned in early in 3,4,5. Kinda hard to tell with the front mount angle. 5 is the trickiest turn @ that track. Always turn in later than you think. Here's one of my vids from Roebling. There's a couple more on our channel.

yeah, i felt the same way about those corners. turn 3 i always felt good about going all in. but 4 and 5, i just never felt that i had the best line. i deffinitely noticed that i had to battle a bit too much with pushing the front in on those so i know i need to work on those spots.
i appreciate the info. also what kinda times does that viper put down? it looks sick!

First and foremost let me say that I sure looked like you guys were having fun and doing well. I think RR is a fun track and a great learning one. You had asked for some critics so here we go.
Overall I think you have the basic line pretty well. I had a really hard time judging where you were sometimes, but overall it looked good. I do suggest using more of the track. You left quite a bit of room at turn in and track out a few times. That is just a comfort level thing though and the more you go, the farther out you will creep. Same with waiting on turn in. It’s natural to turn in early because that is the way we are trained by driver’s ed, but in truth the later you can wait on most turns the better (to a point).
You had mentioned though about the car pushing in many corners. Part of that is the car, but I think a lot of it is from throttle maintenance. It’s the one glaring thing I notices along with late shifts and light braking. Many times you were coasting into a corner then getting on the throttle at apex or later. The sooner you can apply throttle the better. This doesn’t mean floor it, but positive throttle of some sort. By coasting in you are loading up the front tires with weight shift and they will push. If you go to the extreme and actually brake there you will not only load the front, but you will lighten and lift the rear (trail braking). If you can slow down enough to start applying the throttle right before turn in you will set and balance the chassis and you can carry that through the entire corner. You can also control the balance of the car better from this point with very light changes in the throttle. You will be amazed how much better a car feels with positive throttle throughout the corner and how much more control you have.
Here a little video of mine from RR, just because:

You cannot really judge any line from us (myself, John, and John) because we are dealing with traffic and trying to pass each other, but you can hear the throttles.

Thank you for the critique. I can't wait to get back out there and try to get a better time. I really would rather get real comments on where to improve. That's the only real way to get faster. I really want to get a handle on throttle maintenance. I just want to get rid of my cars push out. When I first start the run, the tires feel strong and turn in well, but then after a few laps in, they feel worn and push outside. So ill try what your mentioning. I need to study more on technique.
