When I saw the news of the new series today on Facebook I got super excited. That being said would you guys consider this a good entry level series for someone such as myself? I'm 25years old and have owned the Z for about 2 years I have done about a dozen open track days and Auto-X events since I have owned the Z... Before getting the car I was racing Motocross at a local level for about 5 years. I really miss the competition aspect of it and would love to carry that over to 4 wheels.

Well, if this schedule is correct, it's certainly a no-go: http://www.nasanorcal.com/index.php?...tion_schedule/

That's next weekend for the first event. There isn't a dropdown for SpecZ at any of the events that reg is open for, yet I don't know if they'd start the new series mid-season.

I wonder if I should just scrap/sell the Miata and get a 350Z now as I haven't gone to the point of no return yet. I fit so much better in it to boot.

So reading over the rules, is it ok to put oem brembos if the car didn't come with it?

Also the weights are kinda not fair cuz my 05 came with the same DE motor as the 03-04's yet I need to have more weight...

Its a go in all regions, just shoot the regional director an email and request it be added.

I was wondering the same thing about the Brembos too. The 03-04's have max of 258hp and min weight of 3100lbs. It says to use OEM brakes. Well how is it fair the track model Z's get to use the Brembos and I don't if power and weight are the same?

I think the rules are going to be revised many times before they get some things right. It's the first set though, so it's bound to have flaws.

I wonder if all cars could run the OEM Nismo aero kit? Didn't see anything about bushings, would SPL bushing be allowed , how about Whiteline or some custun Delrin bushings.

Betamotorsports may be able to make and sell more of the UCA bushings that add camber with this series.

Interesting little tidbit I just heard. A significant portion of competitors who sent in petition letters were from SCCA T3, and some T2. Seems like another migration is about to occur.

Let us know if you find out those prices. I am curious to know. I might start pricing out the parts for next season and figure out where I need to be. I cannot find the prices on the parts list provided from Nissan Racer Support. I'm sure it needs updated.
