Never doubt safety! Nice gear for sure though, I may end up in a full suit myself this year too. Did you buy it just based off of your measurements? Hows the fit?
I have a new pair of piloti shoes to use this year. They are as comfortable as they are ugly!
BTW you owe the thread a stig pose picture wearing it all

That's on my list of purchases. My shoes and gloves are worn out; I've never had a proper suit. Need to move them up higher on the list!

Well after this happened to me at the end of last year when a caliper seized. The constant dragging melted the pad right off.

I decided to upgrade the brakes to the OEM Brembos.
I got the rest of the parts in the mail today so it's good to go.
Carbotech XP10/8. Should handle a lot more heat.
Motul RBF660. Once again, safety and performance. Should handle more heat.
Braille battery ready to go. I also got a trickle charger to keep it going inbetween drives.
And I'll probably get to the transmission this week and swap the fluid.
Last but not least, to pass the time I was given these books by GT-Rob. I'm actually learning some theory I never really knew so it's been helpful.
A few more things on the way. Should be here in 1 or 2 weeks.

Some more minor things today.
Last years Hankook RS3's are still in good shape after 4 track days in the dry and 1 in the wet. But I've heard from a few sources they are becoming harder to get. So I decided while I knew there was stock I would pick up a back-up set. I know I will use them.
I decided to go with as wide as I could fit this time. 285/35 ZR18 just to give them a go.
I was told about Ontario Time Attack inspections by Rob, and I knew my studs would not pass. And in the interest of safety I picked up these heavy duty extended ARP studs.
And I was planning on getting a tune this weekend, so I am literally replacing the spark plugs right now. They don't look too good. I think I obviously need a new gasket and valve covers.
OH well if my tune goes off with out a hitch tomorrow I will post the graph.

The issue with my studs were more due to the KICS lugs. If you had stubby acorns (ironically what I use now) it would be fine, they just want to see threads come past the end of the lug. But its a good mod in any case. I never got around to putting my rears in, as I couldn't fit them in without pulling the hub out.
Nice rubbers! They make my 255s look tiny. 10in rim? I have a 9.5 and wondering how well 275s will fit (no RS3s). I may have to buy a wider set but not sure what the front will handle...

I guess I failed to mention that when I had the Volks on with Kics spacers to get them to fit I took an angle grinder to the end of the OEM studs. That plus years of never using a torque wrench, just given'er with a torque wrench made me fear the worst case scenario.
So that combined with your mentioning the scrutiny the studs would be put under made it seem like a good thing to do. haha.

Soo went to APH. Before ART pipes in 2009 I guess I was 256 rwhp 248 lb fton the dynapack.
Today after tuning I was 263 rwhp. 258 lbft. I just remember peak numbers.
Actually made more torque down low. And saved some weight. No CEL's. Sounds pretty cool.
So not the best $600 plus I ever spent, but this is more than enough power for me learning right now.
