The 2TH PWR Track Car conversion
#102
Guess my grade 12 science is out of date. But R134A has a green house effect and shouldn't be released. Glad 2th had it dealt with by a pro. I had mine purged at the garage but just cut it out once purged. Didn't have the patience to sort out the connections.

Oh I agree the new stuff still should be disposed of properly, I was just saying its not as bad as the old stuff used to be.
I also just cut mine near the MC. That line that went behind the engine towards the passenger side looked very painful to remove.

More weight loss today. A few hours with an angle grinder, 5 cutting discs, and a grinding disc and I took out most of the metal housing unit behind the seats.
Before... (damn I only took rear shots pre-op)
After.
You can see I chose to leave some metal around the seat belts.
The pile. Weighed it in a Blue Bin on a bath room scale using myself holding the bin as a tare weight just as I have for everything I've taken off. I was able to weigh 27.2 lbs of scrap. I'm not concerned about loss of strength. Those plates with the black metal with the gold coloured bolts seem to provide the bulk of the strengh and rigidity. That brings total weight of things taken off the car so far up to 324.2 lbs.

Wow, that's a lot of extra space in there now. It looks like you could fit an extra set of wheels in there if you wanted to take them to the track.
I guess this now makes it the point on no return to a dedicated track car if you were not there already before.
Nice work there 2th.

I stumbled onto it and read it and **** wish I did back in Oct=Nov. When did you put your order in for him?

part # 4N014RS-R rear
4N014RS-F front.
If anyone could please confirm let me know.
As for when I placed my order... Jan 4th.
I originally ordered powergrid endlinks but when I couldn't get them I switched to swift spec R.
