Default iPhone Apps for the track

I just got my first iPhone. I plan on sticking it to the windshield for video. I was looking for some direction on a app that resembles traqmate.

I did a quick search on here and came up with DriveMate Rec by Carmate. Thoughts on this?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks.

^^ yep, I use Harrys on my IPod+GPS Mount.

I like the data it provides, integrates well with Google Earth too...

I really like Harry's. Tends to be pretty accurate for lap times too.

TrackMaster seems to be Android only... Unless you're referring to the horse racing app. :P

Do you recommend a iPod/GPS mount?

Yes, I went with the TomTom Car Kit. Less than $100. Since I use my IPOD Touch (No GPS) I had to get this one.

They have a decent list of other makes/models on their site now too.

Dashcmd is pretty good with the mapping but is expensive unless yours is jailbroken. And you can add even more features with a plx kiwi or similar.

ha. I had a Blackberry a couple years back and it drove me crazy. So I've just been avoiding the whole smart thing. Sadly, it was my retirement-age father, that finally convinced me to just do it.

Thanks! I'll get this one too and play with both of them.

I appreciate it.

Its not a sync, but an export/import type thing.

Yeah, that's still cool. I'm going to have to play with that (once I pull the iphone out of the box )

Thanks for the info!

+1 recommendation for Harry's Lap Timer. A friend of mine turned me on to it after I inquired why his phone was tightly rubber-banded to a GPS suction mount.
