Since the OP has not updated this thread in over 17 months and purchased a Z06 in June, I think this project is dead in the water. Or it's just plain dead- who knows? Maybe he'll come back on and explain...

No, not really, I always wanted a C6 Z06 and the opportunity came up. Plus I am friends with one of the top vette mechanics in the country. I would be dumping a lot of money in the 350z and still would be no where near my Z06. Not overall price, but component price, my Z06 is cheaper. Should be finished in a few months, numbers will be shooting for is NA, 600whp and 550-600 ft-lb torque. Should end up around 3000lbs. It just had an alignment and corner balanced and on order a set of toyo 888. So, should be a fun track car, and I dont drag race.

No question, the Z06 is a superb performer, but this thread obviously generated a lot of interest (13 pages). You got to the point of measuring the Z for a roll cage and the next thing you know, it's become a planter in an empty field! You obviously put some sweat equity and thought into making it your track project...than abandoned it. Did the gumption tank just run dry? Any thought of selling it to another member who might be interested?
Yeah, kind of what I was getting at. I realize you have a new toy, but all that work on the Z, though..

I stripped the Z all the way down for my down payment, haha.
Plus I enjoy working on cars and stuff like this. All work done on Z was by mine, so not out any money really.
