Is there the possibility of being able to sign up for this at the track? I don't know if my car will be all together by then or if the weather will be nice enough.

 

There's no guarantee that there will still be available slots, and I think that it costs more at the track too. I'd suggest emailing Lawrence Mansier the event registrar yourself to discuss with him. mansier@zoominternet.net

 

Redfoot, I just got an email the other day and they said they had some spots left, but they are filling fast. Here is the info from the email:

HPDE 1 has 10 openings
HPDE 2 has 5 openings
HPDE 3 has 5 openings
and HPDE 4 has 9 Openings

So y'all know, I am struggling with vendors and what not to get parts in time. I know I will have my plenum on, but the Crawford headers and cats might be a different story. If I can pull it off I will.

I'll be driving my M3 this year, as the 350Z is (still) up for sale and I really don't want to buy new tires right before I sell it. I'll bring my 350Z HP+ front pads for anyone to use/have.

 

Hey Steve... I was just thinking... a guy I work with is going to instruct there and he has an SCCA competition license and drives an M3. I know another guy that's going that requested another instructor and Mansier hooked them up. I bet if you requested him they'd put you guys together. His name is Jeremy Lucas if you want to try.

 

That's cool, I might do that. My instructor last year races BMW's, so that's another option for someone to ask for.

 

I know it's a long shot but I might as well give it a try:

Right now my car still has stock 18" Touring wheels and the RE040 (aka crappola) are pretty much totally bald now... I will be getting new wheels and tires within the next month, but unfortunately not before April 2. I think it will be a little silly for me to buy new tires to fit the OEM rims, only to be used for such a short period.
I was wondering if anyone that is going to Mid-Ohio might have 18" wheels (has to be 18 to clear the StopTechs) with any kind of decent tires laying around that could be lent to me for the track. I can definately pay such a giving person a generous rental fee for using their wheels/tires.

Also, if you guys know of anyone selling used tires that would work pretty well on the track that fit the stock rims please do let me know!

If the track is dry, just run with the RE040s. Less tread is good.
