Default Congrats to Mike Lane

Congrats to Mike for his trophy finish in BSP at the Solo Nationals last week! You've made me think maybe I shouldn't get rid of the car when we move back to St. Louis later this year.

I've still got the suspension, perhaps I'll put it back on the car for 2013

Wish I didn't have to sit on my slowest run on day 1, but I'll be back with a new motor and aero next year. Jason and Mark drove great on both days, and that is what you have to do out there. I was happy the car ran well all weekend...given the many many breakages throughout the year.

I saw the results as well. Congrats man, a very well earned and hard earned trophy.
Any interest in a co-driver?

I'll let you know if there is another tour up north, but I already have a co-driver....he just couldn't make nationals this year.

Would've easily had 3rd place if it wasn't for those cones on the first 2 runs. I was frustrated for you watching those day 1 results.

I really think once a few S2K builds get campaigned by some top drivers, nothing else will be close. Looking at the BS results, the top 4 drivers would have made the podium in BSP. I think the Z can hang well enough to trophy and do well at tours, but I don't see it winning as long as there's a well driven S2K in the bunch. I'm strongly considering parting the Z and getting into a ST* car next year, maybe a BRZ - mainly because I'll never do aero or an engine build while the car is a DD. The ability to daily drive a STX car and still be capable of being nationally competitive, with tires that can be driven to events and last all year without a significant performance drop is just too tempting.

Marc P (10 BS champ) and Jadrice (11 and 12 BS champ) are both running BSP next year. I was somewhat happy with how the car ran. Fast run a blew the "ring of fire" at the end....badly, and the last cone was 2' out of the box to the inside (making it sharper). Compared to the prior, slower, run I lost about .7 just in that section. And then there were those pesky cones on the west course :/.

I'm excited to get both Marc and Jadrice in the class. I think with a 6 cyl motor (not the current 5), aero, less fat driver, and some additional tweaks....I can make 'em earn it.

They will be at Blytheville debuting the car at the end of October.

I'll buy your forgestars....assuming the price is right.

Going to go up to 315/335 on 11/12 for at least the first few events also. Instead of 315's on 10.5's. Even the s2k's had wider wheels than I did .
