Default Another brake bedding question.

I've got Carbotech XP-8/XP-10 pads for track days. They were bedded into new rotors and have one track day on them. (They are awesome by the way). After that track day I put the OEM street pads back on and have driven with them for about 2000 miles.

Got a track day coming up soon and will put the CarboTechs back on but I'm not clear on the bedding process. CarboTech recommends resurfacing the rotors if you do this? Is that really necessary? And if not, should I just do a generic break in process before going to the track?

Nice thing about Carbotechs is they tend to not glaze or leave residue. If there isn't much mileage or seriously heaving braking between now and then just put the XPs back on and do a few quick stops. Good to go.

You can buy Carbotechs pre-bedded. Worth it IMHO.
