Who's going to the Rolex 24 and Grand Am 250 in Daytona the end of this month? Several 350Zs are scheduled for the Friday race at 2:30 p.m.

The Rolex 24 starts Sat. at 1. Several of us are going to be at the Friday race and then return to the infield Sat. morning.

Who thinks they might be there. It is a guaranteed BLAST!!!!!

 

Debating on the GA Cup race. 3 350Z's are entered. Not the best track for the Z however.

 

Who cares? We'll have fun!

 

Just got word 2 days ago that we wont be running the Porsche in the 24....pretty bummmed we were 4th in testing in GT 1:55.5 (First non factory car.)

 

How many Zs can we look for in the Grand Am race on Friday?

I assume there are none in the 24 itself.

 

2-3 We wont be running a second car until after the second race.

Have no idea...I just get in when they tell me and put my head down.

 

We need a factory 350Z effort in the GT class. Come on NNA.

 

GT rules need to be sorted out better first.

 

What rule changes would you suggest BJ?

 

I just think it will need a year to sort out and to see how the current rules play out. I was able to match the exact lap time that I ran at the Finale in the GT3RS with 100 lbs and 800 RPM's. The intersting part is going to be whrn someone starts running a "converted" GT car to see how it campares to something like the GT3RS.
We are looking at running a Z in GT but....one day at time.

BJ: Can we meet you there? Some of us (with the $75 tickets) are trying to get there around 1 pm on Friday....any chance of seeing you in the pits before the race? How about after the race?

I have some great pictures of my family members with Frank Beard, the drummer for ZZTop, that I took on pit road. Frank used to drive a Porsche in the 24.

We also have pictures with Gianpiero Moretti, Max Papis and Elizio Salazar's babe girlfriend.

I'd like some pictures with your team, so we can say "I knew them when............."
