Just thought it was worth sharing. The 2 350's were in a group of about 5 people (M3, Neon, Boxter, 350, 350) who were racing with street tires. All other participants had either slicks or auto-x tires.

I'm from Harlingen. It's near South Padre Island.

 

I'm from Corpus. That sounds like its alot of fun and I am willing to drive down for that. What do you need to do to get started?

By the way what did you place? Was that your Z in the pic?

It is put on by the Porsche Club and anyone can enter. You have to be present at the drivers meeting and you must have an instructor ride with you until they feel confortable with your skills (basically, you're not a reckless driver). It is held at an airport. We section off a few runways and place cones for the track, then go at it. You can see the dates on the website for upcoming events. The track events are about 2 miles long and the auto-x events are about .75-1 mile (not your typical auto-x). Both the track and auto-x events are a lot of fun and can be very fast! If you want more info or would like to meet up for the next event PM me for more details. It would be nice to have another 350Z in the running.

That was my Z on the homepage and I placed 1st in this past event (non-porsche).

Anyone is welcome to participate as long as their car passes the tech inspection and they are at least 18 years old. Bring some friends along if you like, we are always looking for more participants!!
