Post-Track day maintenance schedule advice
Hi Everyone,
What is your post track day/weekend maintenance schedule on your 350z? I take my 350z to the track 3-4 days per month (trailer there and trailer back) and change oil every 3-4 track days. After each track day, I visually inspect the car, but that is about it. The car ONLY sees the track, no street driving.
Is there something else I should be doing or any problem areas I should pay special attention to?

My post track list starts before the event and never ends. I have a 'to-do' list that grows over the weekend, with minor items that cannot be finished at the track being itemized. Last test day, the weatherstripping on the PS door frame started to say, so it needs to be reinforced as an example. Keep a sharp eye on pad and rotors condition if you're bleeding brakes is another. Race damage during the season is something you may be able to hold together, but needs more permanent repairs before you go out again. That post race assessment list just grows and grows!
Keep that list handy for when you wash and clean the car. Cracks that might show up when cleaning the wheels need to be addressed immediately. If there's any tire life left, you'll need to size it up and determine whether you can continue to run it, or if flipping the tire will help prolong it's use. One other use for that list is to put tools or parts that you needed, but didn't have with you at the track on the list to procure.
Just my $0.02...

I track and DD my Z... between each session I do a walk around, looking under it for anything hanging especially if riding the curbs aggressively or any off track events. As the engine cools I go over belts and hoses, plus all fluid levels, along with tire pressures. After a track day I generally have to: refuel, wash off all the rubber bits, double check brake fluid and return to standard air pressures. Lastly I inspect for tire wear, over all brake health (rotors / pads) and remove lose dirt from my air filter (drop in K&N). That is really about it, if anything is wrong or broke its usually obvious on the drive home (no trailer). The only thing that seems to wear at an accelerated rate is hubs.
Don't forget your transmission fluid and diff fluid. That needs attention also.
Typically after a track/race weekend I:
clean car
visually inspect all suspension components
nut and bolt car
check hubs
inspect brake system/bleed brake system
clean/replace air filter
check/change fluids
check setup (especially if big hits/offs)
