I wanted to share another Z video. Here is me driving the Valkyrie Autosport 370z at the Utah 6 hour endurance race. The car is quick and amazing to drive. By the time I had finished my stint we were leading the ES class. The car certainly had the pace to win but some late race issues saw us finishing 3rd. I can't wait to drive this car in the 25 hour race.

 

Nice video. It's been awhile since I raced at MMP (now Utah Motorsports campus), but it looked familiar. Close, but clean racing to be commended. That shifting reminded me of my GT racing days- does your Z34 racecar use a dog box?

 

Yes. It is a pneumatically paddle shifted hewland. The entire setup came from RJN out of the UK. And it has been tied into the MoTec system. It's pretty damn sweet. The sister car (R35) has some awesome GT3 bodywork from RJN as well.

The Utah race was fun. Lots of cool cars in the field and the people running the event were really nice.

Wasn't there an article on this 370Z detailing all the work done?

 

No idea. Valkyrie has done an amazing job on the GTR and the Z. I was able to drive the GTR during last year's 25 hour at Thunderhill. As far as I know it was the first GTR in the 25.
