Default Spec Z Race, NASA Rocky Mountain

Sunday morning drive in Spec Z with NASA Rocky Mountain at High Plains Raceway. Came down to the last lap with multiple lead changes and a victory by 0.249 seconds.

Nice. Gotta love the quarter second MOV! Guess the "Spec" in "Spec Z" works!

Thanks for sharing!

Great stuff and my compliments on giving each other some racing room throughout that race! I was just at HPR for the last SCCA Majors race this past weekend. Unfortunately, my fortunes took an abrupt nosedive when the ECM crashed at the start of qualifying. After scanning the Z, we got the dreaded P2128 and P2138 codes for accelerator pedal position. We swapped out the accelerator pedal sensor, the relay that controls it, checked the fuses and grounds to no avail. After checking the ECM, we determined it was having problems reading the ROM files and was nothing we could address at the track. That's the first failure of this type I've suffered in over 12 years of racing the Z33 and it cost me a potential shot at a Mid-States Majors title.

Sometimes racing is a cruel sport, and I packed up the trailer and headed for home. Looked like some good racing and I could only look on wistfully.

Ouch. DNQ, DNS.... sorry to hear bud. Oh well, like you said, "cruel sport". Hey, it's one race. My "one race" missed was the result of going off backwards and an amazingly bent frame and crumpled body work so ya, coulda been worse.
