Performance Nissan Racing Announces Blake Rosser and Kelly
Collins as drivers of the #23 350Z at Phoenix
April 2, 2004 – Rosamond CA
Performance Nissan Racing announced today the signing of Blake Rosser and Kelly Collins to drive the new #23 350Z in the upcoming Grand Am Cup 200 at Phoenix International Raceway. “We are pleased to have such high caliber drivers on our team for Phoenix. Hopefully this race will lead to a long and beneficial relationship between Blake, Kelly, and Performance Nissan Racing. After testing the #23 at Homestead we know it is as fast or faster than the #33 and we are eager to see both cars run for the win at Phoenix”, said Mike Cronin Sr., team owner.
Blake Rosser, of Las Vegas Nevada, has successful experience in Grand Am Cup, running 3 races in 2003 and finishing with 2 seconds and 1 fourth. Blake has extensive experience in Porsches, winning the overall championship in the Porsche Owners Club in 2002 and competing successfully in 2001 as well. He has completed the advanced race week with the Skip Barber School and finished 3rd in the Skip Barber Western Championship.
Kelly Collins is a well-known and respected professional driver
currently standing 2nd in the Daytona Prototype points. He has been a Corvette factory driver for the past four years. Kelly has scored wins at Sebring, Petit Le Mans, and the Daytona 24 Hour in the past and brings a wealth of endurance racing experience to the Performance Nissan Racing team.

Jeff,
Kelly drove with the BMW team I crewed for several years ago. He is a nice guy and quick too. Good luck to the Performance team this weekend. The GS has its own race at Phoenix! Phoenix should be a good 350Z track. I have good memories of Phoenix. Its the place where our BMW team won its first race with Bill Auberlan & Rick Fairbanks.
