Default Brake duct help

If you install brake ducts on your car, what part of the brakes should you "aim" it towards? Should it point towards the pot on the caliper, or the rotor, or the pads? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am new to road racing and brake requirements. Any help would be most appreciated

It SHOULD aim at the innermost part of the vents of the rotor to blow cool air THROUGH the rotor.

N-Tech Engineering has a kit. I got mine a few days ago, yet to be installed.

No problem.

I had to work yesterday, so I couldn't go. Looked like they had a large turnout.

Does it matter what direction the airflow goes or where it connects? I mean does it have to blow straight down the split in the rotors in towards the rotational center?

The air should blow from the innermost part of the vents in the rotors. Centriugal force will help it flow outward. Hopefully taking a bunch of heat along with it.

the brake ducts i've seen for the Z race car at Technosquare has a very simple design. using the stock brake dust cover, they welded a 3" diameter metal ring, and welded, what seems like a 60degree slant with a hole in the end that will force air into the inner portion of the rotor...

a flexible hose is attached toward the front bumper, thru the stock plastic pieces that are in the stock bumper...

Cheston, are you talking about the rear brakes? I'm looking at my fronts and don't see a metal dust shield.

That sounds like a pretty good idea. I'll have to steal that. I've made an aluminum brake duct system which replaces the stock "skid" plate underneath the engine. It runs two ducts from the grill area into each wheel well. But I was wondering how to get it closer to the brake and where to attach it. I've only got one more weekend to finish it before I race. Plus, I still have to replace my brake lines, pads and fluid!!

The fronts do have a the shield........which needs to be in there as it acts as a crush between the front hubs and the front uprights.
We have our own welded alum front ducts that attach to the front radiator support and are directly behind the opening of the front nose.
We removed sections of the dust shields and welded on a 3.5" section of ss pipe and conected each with 3 " orange brake duct hose. You have to cut holes in the inner fender liners to get the ducting through.
Cheers
