In SCCA road racing, the 350Z is classified in Touring 2 or GT2-3. In T2, homologated options include the track package (you can upgrade any model) equipment. The GT classes are for all-out tubeframe race cars and probably have no bearing on this thread.

BJ is trying to run in T2 this weekend at Mid Ohio. He is running Jason H's blue Z. Anyone near there should check it out and report!

BJ,
let me know what times you end up turning and who else shows up. The Neon is rummored to be putting out 330hp now. Also, you can thank me for the 8.5" front wheels (that was my request). My friend Will (you met him at Daytona) may be calling you this week for Penskes for his T2 car, I am still waiting for my shocks from JRZ.....
What are you running shocks and exhaust on the T2 car?

I had to fab up a quick exhaust cause we had the injen dual on there but after reding the rules it was illegal.
We are now running a 2 into one with an injen rear muffler on the back. It sounds great.
The Boxster is the only car that really worries me. FB killed me under braking and the car handles very well. We were even on power.
I just ran some of the street sport yellow Konis on the car.
Pushed really bad up there after two laps.
Can not wait to take advantage of the new rule package.....with that I think the 350Z wil be the car to beat.
I was able to get down to a 1:43.0 on the club course. WIth sway bars alone I think I could have been in the mid to low 1:42's.
I would say mid to low 39's at the runoffs for sure.

Sways should make a huge diff for the 350Z. What were FB's lap times like? I think if you could get the lead against him you might have a shot. The RO layout should give you another passing spot into turn two under braking. Will also help FB too. How did the SA Konis hold up?
