Default Update on Homdstead Miami Race

Dear Fan Club Member,
Just to let you know, the Grand Am Cup Race scheduled for this coming weekend (Sept. 10-12) has been postponed one week. It is now scheduled
to run Sept. 17-19. Grand Am took this action due
to the damage in
Florida from Hurricane Frances and the potential
damage that may come
from Hurricane Ivan. Homestead Miami Raceway is in
good condition but
the travel situation in most of Florida is a bit of
a mess.
Our two trucks had already left and are now idling
near Houston. They
are waiting for the current weather to clear up and
to make sure Ivan is
not headed for the same spot they are. Hopefully
the people of Florida
will get all the help they need and get things back
on track.
We are looking forward to the race at Homestead,
whenever it can be
run. All three cars and their drivers are ready and
eager to chalk up
another win for the Nissan 350Z.
Stay tuned to Speed Channel for updated broadcast
times.

One more update regarding the race at Homestead
September 17th-19th.
Grand Am has announced that the Grand-Am Cup Race
will have same day
coverage Saturday September 18th on Speed Channel
beginning at 7 pm
Pacific Time. The Rolex Series will air live on
Sunday September 19th at
8 am Pacific Time.

The Grand Am Cp Race will be known as El Combate
de Velocidad!. It
was not clear why thetitle change but perhaps we
have picked up a race sponsor for this event. Good news in any event. Ole!

Stay tuned for more updates an log onto
www.grandamerican.com for the
latest information and to follow the race in real time on Zippo Live
Timing and Scoring.
Thanks for your support.

So they're going to be showing the entire length of the race rather than editing the race into a 1 hour segment of racing under yellow? Amazing!

I'm going to have to have some TiVo the race for me since I'll be at Summit Point that weekend...

Both teams might as well pack some outboard motors and pontoons, because it looks like South/Central Florida is going to get soaked again. Swamp racing anybody?

Thanks - - unfortunately it looks like it's going to hit the states
somewhere - - it's been a crazy few weeks here in Florida.

Hope to see you at Homestead.
