What do you weigh?
At Nationals this year they weighed both AS and BS cars for informational purposes, which will hopefully help lead to removing the S2000s from BS.
Most of the s2ks were between 2690-2800 lbs.
My car weighed in at a slim 3075. The tank read empty with 0 miles to go before the start of our runs that day, but when I filled it up after the event I only put in 17 gallons. Spare, jack, and tools removed. Floormats and rear carpet removed. Coin holder and cupholder in the center console also removed. Stock 17" wheels with 275 hoosiers all the way around.
Hopefully next year I'll get a new bar (prolly heavier) and light wheels, those stock wheels sure are a pain to haul around.
The other Z there was a performance on stock 18" wheels, weighed in around 200#s heavier than my car.
Anyone else ever weigh they car? Results?

Hmmm, after talking to a buddy of mine he informs me that the scales were reading ~50lbs heavy last week in Topeka. I'll have to get our scales out (http://www.SoloPerformance.com) and see what weight I can get the car down to, after I check the scales out for accuracy.
IIRC, my track model is around 3150lbs. w/ a 1/4 tank of gas. That's with the spare and tools in the rear removed, the weight of the roll bar with harnesses, test pipes instead of the cats, and a lighter exhaust.
Ah, exhaust, I forgot to mention mine.
I have a small tip that I replace the stock muffler with when running. It probably weighs 4lbs, as upposed to the 35lbs of the stock muffler.

Weighed my baby at the drag stip two weeks ago. 3080 lbs. Spare etc removed 1/4 tank. Losing 350 lbs would be a godsend for our little porky pig.

My $.02
I weighed my car with me aboard at Mid-Ohio, and I don't have the # handy, but it was around 3300LBs.
That being said, why all this obsession with weight?
(I loved my 1700LB Lotus for 10 years, and my GP Spitfire weighed 1200LBs, so I DO know the benifits of light weight)
zillinois & I have run a couple HPDE's with a large friend of mine.......and he SMOKED us!
Also, I had an instructor drive my car with my 150LB *ss riding shotgun, and the SOB STILL drove 2 seconds a lap faster than I did without a passenger!
My point is, learn to drive! D*mn, I better learn soon!
