Default Harness bar install w/ pics!

Installed my new BCR Harness Bar today. Very nice piece of hardware. Install took about an hour and a half. I've got a Simpson harness due by the end of the week. My car is all prepped for my first time tracking at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. Put a bunch of stickers on too, so my wife could easily identify me going around the track when she's taking photos. Enough chatter, here's the pics.

The "Mercedes" silver bar looks great! It should make an excellent mount for your video camera.

I like your stickers too.

The Chicago Alfa Club is holding a time trial over the weekend of Oct. 9-10th. Since the Alfa club is not very big they usually open it up to other cars as sort of a fund raiser. I am taking my vacation the week prior to the event and staying at Siebkens up there and then finishing my vacation with the time trial! Should be a great time.

Zillinois,

Where did you get your BCR harness bar, and what was the $. Also what length harnesses does it require. Thanks for the info.

DoctorK

The bar is available from a member on this board called Enthuz. You can pm him, he was first poster to this thread. The bar is $450 for my350z.com members. Most belts should be able to fit, because the bar is not that far behind the headrest. But Enthuz (Bruce) will be able to tell you the exact lengths required. He also has a 350z specific harness that is sold separately. The quality, fitment and thought that went into this harness setup is second to none.

BCR has a website with some pics and info too...

www.BCRLtd.net

Just about any shoulder belts and lap belts should be long enough, but be careful on the anti-sub belt. A lot of them will be too short, unless you're really skinny. That's why I decided to go with the harness belts from BCR too.

I'm glad I waited for EnthuZ's bar to come to market - definitely a nice piece of hardware. After seeing the pics in this thread, I'm not sure which color looks better in a redline. I went with black, but this silver looks great!

Yeah, black is subtle and blends nicely with the interior for keepin' it on the DL. Or the silver is a little more flashy, race looking. Got my belts installed today.

You can get them painted any color for a little extra too.

It is scary how many people put these in WITHOUT
rollover protection. Hope you never flip your car...

That is a very clean, functional and attractive installation. It would look great on your car in red or black as well. Nicely done indeed.
Have a great time at RA. There is some video on www.g-owners.com that Riff put up from a run in his G35 coupe there about two weeks ago that is fun to watch. That is one of the outstanding circuits in this country. I am jealous!!!
Be safe out there.

Schroth makes a harness that won't kill you in a rollover. You should consider buying them. It would suck to die.
