Two Questions
- A dumb question to start off - I plan to get the Tilton flywheel, UR crank pulley, and possibly the 350EVO 3.9 gears for my Z. This would of course disqualify me from Solo II competition. But I could still run the course as normal, correct?
- It's pretty evident that the S2000 edges out the Z in AutoX. Are they about equal on a road course, though?
It wouldn't disqualify you from AutoX, you can do *anything* except nitrous and be legal for some class. Most likely you'll be in SM2 with those mods. As for which is faster on a road course, who knows. Last time a mag. compared them the Z was faster in their road course test if I remember correctly. The cars are so close, it's about 95% driver anyways.

If you look at Touring 2 National competition, it's clear the 350Z is quicker that the S2000 in road racing. As always, driver skill and experience make up the largest single factor in speed on a race course.
I've known them for years.. Dan and I have had some fun times at various track events, usually with him ending up backwards in the dirt or next to the wall. haha. Were you out at PIR last weekend?
