On saturday, novemeber 20th, the Alabama Region SCCA will be conducting a Driver's Education event (SCCA calls it High Performance Car Control Clinic) at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway located in Munford, Alabama which is just outside of Talladega, Alabama. Cost is $125 for the day. Entries are limited and only six cars at at time will be on track so it should not be crowded. Novice to Advanced drivers are welcome. You car must be "capable of street licensure" but polllutions controls can be disabled. Tracks cars and some Improved Touring cars would fit that description although the vast majority should be street cars.

There will also be a Regional free food and beverage social following the event. So come out and spectate if you want to cheer on jeer the drivers on the track. I saw where NASA cancelled its HPDE event scheduled the week before so if you signed up for that then this may be the event for you. Instructors will be provided for in-car instruction.
