Triangle Z Club's 2005 HPDE Schedule (starting Feb)
Just a quick note...
Those of you who are registered for the event, don't forget about the banquet Saturday night. We do need an RSVP, we've set it up on MyAutoEvents.com HERE
Marty can explain the details, but this will be held only a few blocks from the host hotel in Danville - buffet style food with a cash bar. The banquet is included in your entry fee, guests are $20 (purchased thru MyAutoEvents).
Last year we had close to 125 people show up for this, so get your RSVP in ASAP. There are no additional charges to RSVP thru MyAutoEvents, but if you would rather, please send Mark Vitacco an email stating you will be attending. If we do not hear from you, we can only assume you will not be attending the banquet.
Thanks!!
Stacy

Sorry to seem so clueless, but I'd like to get a helmet that is a decent one without breaking the bank (isn't that everyone's goal?) since I'm not sure how many more times I'll be able to hit the track.
Thanks,

I've listed two excellent helmets below, the first is an open face SA2000 for $149, the second is a hybrid design full face with a visor but not a shield for $199

funny you say that im kinda in the same boat. i was thinking of getting the helmet stack posted earlier its sa2000 and . for the money i bet you cant beat it. but im like you i want a real stealthly looking one with a full face sheild more motorcycle style. i had one last meet that was all black with a smoked out lens but i lost touch with the person i borrowed it from.
im really trying to borrow one for our meet in a few weeks. then i can have until june to find a helmet i really love
but if i can find one by the end of this week im gonna have to buy one
quick question those those who know. i wear about a 7 1/8 fitted hat what size in helmets would that be comprable too.... a meduim?
also i gotta have a black helmet...its just me!
do you think i would have any luck in the classified section?
stack if that second link you posted came in black i would consider it.

I was looking at the ones you were talking about last night and I would have bought one, but they are only Small or Medium so that's no good for me. There is this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...949207601&rd=1
but I'm not really sure how good those helmets are. I'm sure they are just as good as any other. I did find them being sold here too:
http://www.soloracer.com/pyrofullfacesa.html
I was looking back at racerwholesale and the Bell Sport 3 looks pretty nice. As do the ones that Stacy recommended. I spend several hours last night trying to decide between the G-Force Pro Force Hybrid ($200), Pro Force 1 ($250), Bell SR Pro ($250), Bell Sport 3 ($300), or maybe the Bell M2 ($300) and I have yet to come up with any good reason to buy one over another. I can't imagine that I really want a helmet with a face shield, but I wonder about resale as much as anything else (is it more attractive to others?). I'll try and decide by Monday so I can get it this week though.
I really appreciate all the tips and advice from all you guys.

Stacy / Marty:
Do you all allow numbers to be displayed on the upper corner of the windshield and rear window instead of on the side? I'd rather use vinyl numbers than magnets if possible. And if I'm going to leave them on for two weekends in a row, I'd rather not have them on the side...

Sorry... no M90s are too old for our specifications. Are you on any of the corvette forums? There are a bunch coming to the event, maybe someone's got an older M95 or SA95 you can borrow for this event?

Here's another update for those interested:
Datsun/Nissan: 26 cars (12 240z-280z, 1 Z31, 3 Z32, 6 350Z, 2 510, 2 SE-R, 1 G35)
Corevette: 25 cars (20 + 5 Z06s)
M3/3-series: 30 cars
2 Ferraris, 2 Maseratis (possibly one of the grand-am cars, definately one of the Grand-Am Maserati drivers), 1 Coutach, a few 996 cup cars as well. There are a bunch of others... over 170 registered including instructors.
Oh yeah... the event is full BTW!!

Which GT Maserati is going to be there? The white one or the dark blue one? (I'm assuming that these are the Ferrari of Washington cars - the dealership is just around the corner from me)
