Default cheapest set of light weight legal BS wheels. If anyone cares.

for the front black racing 17/7.5 35 or 29 offset

for the back 5Zigen FN01R-C 17/8 35 offset

This setup will cost under 800.00 and will lose around 30 lbs total weight. add in a set of kumho 710's or hoosiers and you'll drop around 40 lbs.

Just in case anyone was looking.

I decided to go with up front Enkei RPF1's 17x7.5 48 offset w/ a 20mm H&R spacer and 17x8.0 35 offset in the rear. This setup saves 10 lbs per corner and is perfectly legal in stock class when you include the spacer.

Oh yeah, I tend to forget that there are other models beside the enthusiast.

Supposedly the RPF1s are ~15lbs each. I have the 17x8 FN01RCs and they're around 18lbs if I remember correctly. Do you mind sharing how much the RPF1s were/are? I was thinking those plus a spacer too, depending on cost.

I got them w/ the spacers for $1003.00 They are a bit more expensive, but I like how light they are and that I can run matching wheels.

Hmmm....interesting compromise. Most of you seem to be giving up wheel width to save a pound here or there. Personally, I'd rather bolt up a wider wheel/ tire combo and take the extra three pounds a corner. Just my 2cents.
Oh, by the way. I run a 17 by 9in. 20 pound wheel rolling on RA-1's. And the wheels were only $132.00 each.

BS = B-stock

You can't change wheel size or width and still be "stock".

I got my RPF1s with Toyos for $1500 shipped. Nothing can beat that. I can lookup the contact info.

Default Light Weight BS Wheels

Just a question... because I faced a similar decision process... can you legally use a 20mm spacer in a stock class? Don't the rules state a .25 inch spacer as the thickest spacer allowed?

I have a set of RPM2s ($220 each @ whalentire.com & about a pound per heavier than RPF-1s), with a 35mm offset, which requires running 5mm (.25") spacers to keep my front 275/35 A3S04s from rubbing on the uprights... the rears don't require spacers, but since they are allowed... I use them.

If I can run 10mm spacers to effectively get my 35mm offset wheels out to the stock 30mm offset plus the extra 5mm (.25") the rules allow, I guess I'm in the market for some 10mm spacers.

But you can run any size (DOT legal) tire that fits on stock-size wheels.
I run 265/35/18s all way around.

The rule is wheel and spacer combined must be within +- .25 in. of stock offset. So you can use any size spacer you want as long as the end result is within spec.

Correct. The spacer can more or less be considered part of the wheel, and since there aren't rules on the construction on the wheel, you can use whatever spacer/wheel combo you want so long as they end up within 0.25" of stock specs. del105 just did this on his car I believe.

Thanks guys, I'm liking what you're selling... 10mm spacers are on my x-mas list.

Yeah it works pretty well. On this Topic I spoke with Doug Gil from the SCCA regarding adapter and I'm going to try to get this added for stock class as an alternative to spacers.

What do you mean by adapter?

An adapter bolts onto the hub and then has its own bolts that bolt up to the wheel.
