Default 350 against Mazda Miataspeed in auto-x

I barely beat the new Mazda Speed (by .385) but realized he's still on street tires and I had Kumho Victor racers and he's still learning his new car. In an older Miata he finished 9th in overall class points season ending vs. my finishing 14th overall in open class points season ending. Now that he's in BS with his new car, I predict that on this course that we're running on (which is small) he'll be good competition. Has anybody run against the new Mazda Speed? I realize courses thoughout the country can be larger or smaller, concrete vs. asphalt. lt and all these variables can make one car have an advantage over another.

Sorry for the dyslexia, it's MazdaSpeed, not MiataSpeed.

From what my friend told me (Miata AutoX guy), the MazdaSpeed has really weird gearing - 2nd gear is good for around 45mph. And supposedly they come with odd sized tires, so good race rubber is hard to find. I don't think anyone's even proven it to be better than the older Miatas. So I'm told.

Thanks phoenixZ33, the older miatas adjusted pax scores did well. It will be nice if the new ones, now that they're in B stock, are handicapped in any way over their older ones.

Also, I'm hoping that now that the honda s2000 has been bumped out of B stock , that the 350z can dominate B stock for awhile. Thanks for your reply.

The mazdaspeed miata should be nothing to worry about. I'm more worried about the 968 and mr2 turbo.
