just bought this bad boy and the hatch is hard as hell to get open, let alone stay open. Think the HP struts will ease my burden? Quote to 66442
Yes they will! PM Sent!

Ordered and received the HP struts and a replacement bumper spring for one that was missing from the car. On my stock car with no wing or extra weight on the hatch, hitting the trunk release pops the hatch up, then I lift it maybe five inches before the struts take over and finish opening it the rest of the way. A little extra force is required to start it closing, but nothing problematic. If you are of a lighter build, or if you share your car with someone who is, the MHP struts would probably be a better bet for you.
It's starting to get cold here and my hatch has fell on me about 4 times already with the EvoR Blitz replica on it. I need to get these!!! HP shipped to 92311 please Z1!!!

i'm having a hard time putting those pins to lock. The way they are angled and the little room I have is really hard to get those pins to lock. Any suggestions??
I just left the shocks there without those locking pins....the struts won't just pop out will they? I'm using them without the pins and it's ok so far.
