Did mine few months ago, used the right resistors and the right amount of leds, problem is that they all died out. the hell did i do wrong... (dont think its because i wired it up to the drl)
For those who dont know which LED to order nor do they know how to solder them here is a pre-made LED bar DIY link:

I haven't done mine yet but this looks more straight forward. Just open up the or drill (however you like) your stock marker and put these LEDs and wire it up!

I did this mod. Thanks for the write up. I decided to use 7 LED/resistor pairs per reflector, wired in parallel. The night shot didn't come out very well, since it made the LED's look blue. Anyway, I want to replace the parking light with something that doesn't look so yellow. Any thoughts? I love tinkering with this kind of stuff. If anyone wants to send me their reflectors, I'd be happy to do this.
Yea i saw that thread but there was no diy or how to and I have no idea how to mount it where it would refract through the entire lens evenly. I'm trying to get the effect of the new chrysler 300's headlight where their daytime running light is LED but refracts really evenly.
I used these strips:

I bought two 1-foot sections and trimmed them to fit the reflectors. There are actually 24 LED's in each reflector, not 21 as I originally posted. I used the pure white, waterproof, white background.
These are the second set of reflectors I made. The first were a quick failure, after the LED strips I bought from oznium.com had multiple LED'S die after just a few weeks of minimal use. Here's what happened with the sh!tty oznium LED's, and there are lots like these sold on eBay, too:

Any method to trimming them?
Just a sharp razor blade. You can trim the LED's in multiples of 3. You could probably also order them in a 24-LED section (8"), if that's easier for you, but they're sold by the foot, which is 36 LED's. I glued everything with clear silicone.
