I'd suggest removing the rear bumper just in case or unbolt the rear muffler section before attempting!
Rear bumper is probably easier to remove.

Heat up large areas at the same time. This will take a little bit longer, but it ensures even heating.

I did this when I had my stock muffler. I thought about doing my EVO 2 this way but have'nt done it yet.

I stripped the whole thing one day with pb blaster and some scotchbrite pads then I took a torch to the tips, around the welds and the sides.

It looks okay its not as flashy as the TI coloring goes. It basically looks like you DIY.

Nice work man.. I did a diy on my shift **** a while back and got into a discussion wit some **** about how it was done.. I hope no dycks chime in here..
