Default DIY: Evo-R CF 13piece interior and review

For 2005 MT 350z

Well,.... FINALLY my CF 13 piece interior kit came in yesterday, after all the snags and speed bumps I ran into dealing with Jay@Evo-R. I think I would have felt better if it was made in Japan. But its here so here we go...

Once screwed back in the silver piece pops back in with a little force.
Note: most of the Bigger pieces I hade to apply the 3m double sided molding tape.
The piece you see aove for the shifter I had re-tape and fit 3 times to try to get it lined up and as flush as possible. in the end,... I was only able to achieve 85% perfect fit with this piece.
It isn't a must but I also uscrewed the screws underneath to remove the boot and clean it

The next piece I tape preped for the upper mpst part of the center console for gauge pods and storage.

Next were arm rest door pieces which has alredy been explained but I did throw in a few extra pix for better insight. Mainly on the passenger side. Once unscrewed all I had to do was pop out the door handle.

here is a pic of the cut once it was as flush as I could get it.

I realighned it twice and this is the best the piece would allow me

once I the screws were screwed back in the silver piece pops back in with a little force.

Next were the gauge pods which I didnt have to any issues with the top pieces of the housing. the bottom pieces were however more of a pain in the a$$ manuvering into the perfect position.

Next was the storage lid cover which started to pissin$g me off after several attempt to line it up. I had to re apply the 3m double sided molding 3 times. I'll show yo why too.

This part on the upper left hand corner of the piece wasn't cut right and had a flaring to it that wouldn't allow the lid to lift. in the end I HAD to shave it down with an exacto blade. I press the release button on the lid and I still have to maually assist it up.

Next was upper trim piece that surrounds the gauge pods and storage area that I tape preped.

It went on but I was still faced with areas the piece would not allow me line up

The last thing I won't fail to mention the vendor himself.
I WILL NEVER do buisness again with this guy.
The vendor has the WORST communication I have ever encountered. I would NEVER recommend buying anything from Jay. Some have said they didn't have a problem with him replying, I on the contrary did. I made the purchase july 9th, the guy barley responded to any of my emails, doesn't return calls, and finally after a couple of weeks tells me not in stock and only gets back to you when you start publically asking WTF on the forums.Guy ask me if I wanted a refund, say yes, This guy tells me he'll do it "tonight", almost 2 weeks later I'm still wondering WTF?, Guy tells me that he has it in stock "do I still want the kit"? I say yes, and dont see any tracking # on my paypal for almost a week.
unfortunatley I didnt catch it before I made the purchase, but whats done is done.
Theres **** on Jay on RX-7 and 8 forums I wished I would have seen.
But it is what it is....

Hey bro, not to **** on you-- but my OCD would drive me crazy with all of those tiny mis-alignments and ill-fitting pieces, especially if I paid good money for a kit like that. I would probably end up ripping it all out. Geeze...

I am sorry bro, but for 500 bucks those should be direct replacements and not some tape-it-on pieces. You could have wrapped it and gotten a way better look. Im sorry =(
