Looks great! Did your buddy color match the exterior paint? The blue really pops!

Yes I had him paint the hood and front bumper so he matched it I think it turned out pretty nice get lots of compliments and covers up all my ugly attempts to fix it.

Default 2008 Nissan 350Z Touring Coupe dash painting.

I think Armor All or the like is responsible for softening the original paint. Anyhow after sanding the XXXX out of these two parts with 800 grit , washing them off with water and drying them well ,tack clothing, using one light coat of adhesion primer followed by three coats of Rustoleum Flat Black , I think they turned out pretty well.
72 hours minimum curing time is needed before reinstalling them.

Default Great post with easy to follow instructions

Just want to thank BTaeb24 for this post. I’ve had my 2006 for 13 years and was so tired of looking at my scratched up waterfall. I don’t know the first thing about car repairs but was able to follow your instructions (pictures we so helpful) for a successful restoration. I’m a 54 year old female who completed the entire project on my own. Sorta proud of myself and super happy with the way my car looks. Thanks for sharing your expertise with the noobies.
