great write up and color, im looking to paint my calipers soon and im going with red as the accent color on my car. just painted the strut bar and everything the other day
How did you paint your strut bar? Did you disassemble the whole thing? I'm planning on painting mine, however i dont know what kind of paint i should or the process.
It also takes an extra $60 or so for a bleeder vacuum, plus $10 for a bottle of brake fluid. WHY pay the extra cost when you can prevent it? It only took me about 2 minutes for each wheel to put newspaper and tape up everything.
First, if you pay $60 for a bleeder, you are an idiot. You can get them for $10 or less. Second, you don't need one. Third, who doesn't have brake fluid in the garage?
oh no! not red! those calipers are particularly unpleasant to look at...last thing they need is bright paint to attract attention to them. But good writeup for a n00b who wants to paint his black.

Agreed. Should have just cleaned 'em up and shot 'em with black. But decent write up.
And just so everyone knows, bleeding brakes is really, really easy.
Step 4.1(Optional): If your rotors are excessively rusted or you cannot stand the look of the rust, you can grind off all of the rust with the drill for a nice silver finish.
