can't wait to see it finished! looks like an awesome project. I agree that gauges in the otherwise useless cubby are much more tasteful than the pillar pods

Good idea if you're not using the cubby for anything else (I too can't stand pillar gauges. They just scream RICE!).

Personally, I've found that the cubby almost perfectly fits my Kahr MK9 and 2 extra mags, or will work with my Glock 26/27 too. I need to find out what is exactly behind the back wall of the cubby, because I really want to make it a bit deeper in one spot so it will hold a Glock 19 (which is my usual CCW choice). If not I'll probably find a way to mount a kydex holster in a handy position.

 

In my mustang I had my holster mounted between the seat and center/shifter console. fit perfectly. These cars are a bit tighter but food for thought

I'm loving the cubby gauge holders, very stealthy, i kmow there are people on this site who complain about it looking a little 'scruffy' but to be honest i think you've done a fantastic job that would put a lot of pre-fab jobs to shame. Plus there is always the satisfaction you get when you complete a job that you've started from scratch. Congratulations on a job well done, you should be proud of yourself.
