Default Cheap eBay LED interior dome trunk light replacement

Hi guys,

Replacing the interior lights with LEDs is obviously not a hard thing to do, what took me a while though was to figure out what to buy.
So now that I have it all the way I like, I thought I'd share the type and dimension of what I fitted in my Z.
LED kits for the Z can be found for all over but they are $20-$40. I got the 2 dome lights and trunk light for $4.50AUD delivered!

Dome Lights:

I initially fitted a big LED panel and found that it was way too powerful to be confortable.

I then opted for 2 of the following and found it was a perfect fit and perfect amount of light (still very bright)

These can be found on ebay by searching the following keywords:

31mm 8 LED 5050 SMD Car Interior Dome Festoon White Bulb

Cost: $1.25AUD a piece

Trunk light:

For this one I had to look for the brightest panel I could fit.

This what i ended up installing:

Ebay keywords:
18 SMD 5050 LED T10 BA9S Dome Festoon Car Interior Light Panel

Make sure the dimensions are as follows:4.4 x 2.3 x 0.5cm

Cost: $2AUD

For DIY you should also include instructions, not just product. Like myself, I don't know how to install them.

You basically just remove the lens and exchange the LED for the bulb. Not exactly rocket surgery. FYI, an LED strip under the strut bar is another option for trunk lighting:

For dome lights, these look pretty cool. Ordered mine about 5 weeks ago, and waiting for them to be built:

And for the trunk:

Sam is the king of LED's and does some amazing work.

I had an 12 SMD light and it lit better than stock. Only problem is whenever something would get in front, all light was gone.

I recently purchased this from diode lighting and I am way happier. It lights up the trunk much more than before and its even too since nothing gets in the way of it. Very easy install as well, I will their get footwell lights soon.

Its not as blue as it is in the picture, I took it with my phone. Its about 5000k Id say.

That's an awesome idea dcains, the boot is never well lit enough. I might give this a go!
