Just used to bed in my brakemotive c/s rotors and powerstop pads. Worked very well. Definitely don't stand on the brakes after the 60-10mph stops or you will get "scar" marks on your setup. Thanks Robert_K for the re-post

I recommend that you practice in an isolated area. When you feel confident I also recommend trying ABS in the rain. Nothing like practising emergencies before emergencies.
Great recommendation. This helps you understand the limits of the car and driver without damaging anything. The experience I gained from doing this helped me to maneuver during a couple of "emergency" situations.
Example about 12 years ago I had an '81 200sx. The car in front of me slammed on his brakes. I slammed on my brakes. I felt the rear wheels start to lock and lose traction and I let off the brakes just in time for the wheels to regain traction and prevent a spin. At which time I reapplied brakes and stopped properly. All within a spit second.
If I hadn't "practiced" (fooled around hehe) on EMPTY streets/parking lots during my spare time, surely I would have spun out and had an accident.
