I am looking to buy a spare tire that fits over the stock brembos. So if you have upgraded your brembos and your spare no longer fits let me know thanks!

the track model comes with a different spare than non track? Can anyone confirm? right now I'm carrying my front track wheels as spare since the factory spare useless since it won't fit over my brake.

 

yes i Have confirmed it it will not fit, I found out the hard way

brembos have a 17inch spare, standard =16inch rim

 

True, the spares are different. The track spare DOES fit over 13.1" Stoptech's too.

The stock non-Track 18" wheels (and I've read somewhere that 17", too) will fit over the brembos, so why won't the spares do the same? I've never tried this so I don't know, but you guys know what I mean? What's the difference? How is it that the spares are not interchangeable whereas the wheels are?

 

Does the track spare fit over the Stoptech 14"? I just got them on and want to have spare that works.

 

Nope. That's how I got a track spare!

And he uses my 16" spare to hold up his trunk floor!

 

Yes, the OEM 17" wheels DO fit over track Brembos.

But the ID of the 16" spare is too small to clear the Brembo calipers, as they are further away from the hub than the non-Brembos because of the larger rotors.

Not a good sentence, but I hope you get the idea.

 

Thanks EnthuZ, I get it now. So I'm assuming that ALL non-track models come with the 16" spare? Is that true?

I'm 93.50% sure only the track Z's come with the 17" spare. That's the only model with the bigger brakes. OK, the Anniversary edition must come with the 17" spare too......
