$1000 coilovers
I'm looking for the best coilover for under $1000. I cant see the point in spending any more than this because the car will never see the track. I was leaning toward the tein basics for $753 then i found the tanabe for around the same price. So, what do u guys think for $1000?
Thanks
Brett

In the price range your putting yourself, aggreed go for the Basics. Of course you really should be buying what meet's your needs. You may find that you have reason to pay more then $1000 simply to get the coilover system that actually does to the car what you want or more importantly, avoiding a system that does things you end up wishing you would have AVOIDED. Just to say it, avoid the $1000 D2 coilovers that show up on ebay at all costs.

I am considering some coilovers...what is so wrong with the D2's...I am familiar with the company, they run a lot of races in the pacific rim...

honestly, I would spend about 1500 and get proper coilovers or just get springs..
In my mind, if you're paying that much for a suspension setup, might as well get something worth it. If you're getting it just for looks, any spring that is made to work with the OEM shocks will do.
So as a summary.. I say go either HKS Hipermax coilovers or Eiback pro-kit springs over stock shocks.
and yes, you're going to have alignment adjustment problems with any kind of suspension really since there IS NO adjustment. So if you're worried about tire wear, you might want to invest into a camber kit for the front and the rear. And if you want to lower more than 1", then you must get them to solve the toe issue as well. Hope this helps.
