Unhappy Koni Bounce?

Just had my konis installed, and im using Tanabe Springs and Hotckis Sways. First impression was their awesome. They ride a bit nicer, but they still feel firmer. They are set at the second tightest setting both front and rear, and they ride great.... Most of the time. On certain roads, for no reason, the car bounces. Alot. Enough where you cant put your head back on the headrest. I never had this problem with the stock shocks and springs, stock shocks and Tanabe Springs, only now. Any suggestions? Its really weird that its only on a cetain type of road, just concrete. And their werent even expansion joints.

Thanks,
Bill

Concrete highway I think is a lost cause no matter what sports car you drive. FWIW I am running the Konis on the softest setting with stock springs & 350Evo sway bars set at medium. The stock shocks suck.

Hey Bill . . . where do you experience this problem? On the Edens? If so . . . it has absolutely nothing to do with your car. My Z, my old Audi, and my even older RX-7 had the same problem on certain stretches of that road.

I've heard that in the city's haste to rush that project along in the late 60s, certain sections of concrete weren't allowed to settle correctly - whatever that means.

I would turn them to soft. I run full soft front and rear on the street w/eibachs. Better than factory.

Don't need to remove the wheels, just jack up the rear to reach the adjuster.

At stock ride hieght there is enough room to adjust the back without doing anything. Dont know with loweringsprings though.

Fronts: adjusters under the hood.
Rears: adjusters at the top of the shock body, turn counter-clockwise to tighten.
