New suspension help stop feathering ?
Allright, well, i heard that if I got a new suspension my tires would stop feathering. Since it sounds like a pretty easy method of stoping the feathering, im going to be taking the plunge on a suspension here. Question is, what should i get, by that i mean what parts are usually replaced when someone were to redo their suspension. And in my case, what parts of the suspension should i replace to stop the feathering. Parts recomendations would be great as im a suspension n3wb.
As a n3wb, i figured id be doing something like....
Tein Cs. w/ EDFC
Cusco Sways
I know Tein is good.
Thanx

SO itll help with my feathering issue tho. Heres the main thing, ima tell my dad that the easiest way to get rid of feathering is to do aftermarket suspension. So these coilovers will help? or do i need control arms?
Thanx

not to burst your bubble but none of what you have posted will help your feathering at all. In fact, without a set of front a arms or rear camber arms at a minimum, you will likely fruther INCREASE tire wear

How does rear camber affect front tire feathering? It is my (very) general impression after reading through several threads that many who have swapped suspension components (NISMO, etc.) are claming that feathering has subsided. I'm sure many have swapped wheels also.
Hopefully this thread will attract more feedback by those that can shed light on this first hand.

I have Nismo s-tune, Nismo wheels with S03's 245/40/18 F and 275/40/18 R, with city/highway/track driving, wheels down to 4/32's, no feathering at all. Also have Nismo sways.

I got the s-tune when the s03's had about 7K, no feathering. Tires were in perfect condition.
Now, when I got s-tune, I got nismo wheels with new s03's at the same time. Again, now with 4/32, no feathering.
Who knows, maybe I'm one of the good early builds (10/02) without tranny or feathering probs. Either way, I feel lucky.
However, I did have almost all of the minor probs (ie window streaks, rear view rattle, gas cap not open, trunk not open, etc.)-all fixed via TSB. Otherwise, car is fantastic!
Hope this helps.

In my belief lowering will help it. The many people i know who lowered it properly/aligned, and not even aftermarket camber/toe correction have not had problems for more than 15k miles.
