Default Brake in period for brakes

OK, So I got my new rotors and ceramic pads on yesterday. I'm told I have a couple of weeks period to brake them in. Out of the shop they feel mushyer than the old brakes. Glazed feeling. They also are a little jumpy under hard braking. I'm told this is normal and they'll feel better after they have a chance to seat. Anyones take?

you need to bed them in. Do 5 hard stops from 40 mph and then 5 from 60 mph, let them cool for a couple hours and do it again. Then they will be much more effective.

yep, there shouldn't be any break in period for brakes. Just gotta bed in the pads and rotors. Like 2003z said, do a bunch of hard stops. If it still feels glazed then try taking off the pads and lightly scuffing them up.

It feels like the car is a ton heavier, or the pads are dragging on the rotors. It looks like the rear pads are touching the rotors. Cant tell in the front. I'm going to call the manufacturer on Monday.

bed them in. look up the procedure online.

also, if the ceramic pads are geared towards track days they might feel mushy because they aren't warmed up to operating temp.

Did it. It stops great. It's an acceleration performance issue. It just feels like i'm hauling a ton more weight.
