Default Mounting Front Brembos in the Rear... Possible?

I was wondering if it is possible to mount the front Brembos and rotors from a Track on the rear of my 03 track... Is This possible?

I would end having four front type OEM 4 piston Brembos at all four corners. Can this be done? Has anyone tried it? If Stop Tech can do it, why can’t we with the Brembos?

Zippy, I don't think this can be done for many reasons, I'll just list two. First, the rotors from front to rear are different. Second, the Brembo caliper mounts are cast (integral to the caliper) while the Stoptechs are seperate from the caliper (so they can machine one that fits).

So the mounting points of the front cailpers would not fit or align with the rear mounting points. as for the rotor, I would assume that the front would fit on the rear, it is the same lug bolt pattern. But it is a moot point if the brakes don't fit.

rotors definitely won't fit, rears have integral parking brake.

The brake bias would be off.

Thanks for all the input. after all the feed back, it looks like fronts wil not fit on the rear after all. It was worth a shot. but just think about it..... Large Brembos at all four corners... mmmmmmmm.

Ditto, your MC isn't made for this setup. You can't mix and match and expect it to work.

Default dont do that

having the same size pads on both ends of the car will give you much more braking action on the rear that cars are designed for. Too much rear will cause your car to spinout anytime you use them hard and are not in a straight line. Thats why every, every, manufacturer has smaller brakes on the rear. Next time you watch a road race listen to the commentator when a car spins out entering a corner, he will usually say that the driver had too much brake bias toward the rear. If you have a set of "track car" brembos to spare, sell them to us.

Oh I totally Agree with the bias thing. Whe nI look at the AP or Stoptech, they have smaller rear capliers and rotors in the rear. I was just thinking out loud. My buddy just gor new Brembos for his Z06 from a Ferrarri F50. I have serious Brake envy....
