Default Anybody have 14" stoptechs on Volks?

More specifically SF Challenges? I haven't had time to measure everything out, but if it's been done before it will save me the trouble. I just need to know whether or not the brakes will clear 19" (19x8 21mm 19x9 23mm) Volk SF challenges.

Any help would be appreciated!

EVERY BBK will fit under any front Volk wheels that have the offset listed in Column A on the spec chart - and your wheels are under column A, so you have pretty much freedom of choice... what BBK's are you looking at?

I am pretty sure they will fit. Here is a picture with that setup on a Z.

What chart are you looking at?

I am going to do the 14" Stoptech kit all around.

Awesome, thanks for that! That's assuring, but I'd like to be positive hearing from either the owner of the same setup, or if bwzabodyn has a chart of fitment applications that'd be sweet!

Like stated, the offsets will probably play the biggest role in BBK clearance. Check your offsets and specify whether or not you have "face 1" or "face 2" and then go from there by calling Mackin Industries directly for support

Good luck

The application chart is on the volk/makin website. You shouldn't have any issues.

Ok cool, one more question...what's the overall opinion on slotted vs slotted AND cross drilled? From what I've heard cross-drilled has a tendency to crack...is that the case? Also that wouldn't be covered under warranty....

Cross-drilled to my understanding tends to run a higher risk of cracking, but if you are keeping it on the street and not tracking, you should be fine. I run slotted & cross drilled on my 14" front and rear and they are still good after a few track events

This is the chart they are talking about:

http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/...?modelName=SFC

Remember column A only guarantees clearance of the stock Brembo setup, not a 14" Stoptech kit. I wouldn't worry about the fronts, but the backs might be tight. I know I only have 3 mm of clearance on my rears with a 19x9.5 +24 GT-7.
