WTF...Brake Noise Gone (?)
Ok, so my front passenger brake has been squeeling like crazy for the past few weeks, leading me to pound the boards looking for new pads & rotors. Well, on my drive home this evening, the damn thing starting squeeling even worse (I mean, loud and sharp!), and even made noise when the pedal wasn't pressed...just this continual scraping noise. I was like, great, I have to get it all done tomorrow at NTB or something and forget about my slotted/Hawk setup.
But then all of a sudden, it just stopped mid-way home. I messed around with light and hard stops and now no noise...nothing. What gives?
Is this a sensor thing or something? Or was there something stuck in the pad?

Just guessing, I'm far from a brake expert but maybe the metal sensor on the pad either broke or wore off. I just replaced my brakes about a month ago because they started making this horrible screeching sound everytime I pressed the brake. I would definately still replace your pads. If anything, at least take your wheel off and check the pad.
