I recently added this to my G35, but I'm not sure if something is wrong with it or not. The brakes function correctly, its just how they look. I cant remember seeing anything like this before I bought the kit. Does anyone have pics of theirs or know if this is normal?

 

Mind if I ask where you got the kit and for how much? I'm actually thinking of buyin the same one.

And in the pic, are you talking about the rust on the rotors or something else?

 

I got it from Performance Nissan $615. Yeah the rust on the inside. Not sure its supposed to look like that. I've contacted Stoptech, but haven't heard back yet. Anyone else had this problem?

 

Im thinking this is normal. Have you ever noticed new cars that have been sitting on lots for a while? The rotors will have a rust covering them until you use the brakes a couple of times. It looks like this is what is happening. The rust is just staying where there is no contact with the pads...

 

If you're talking about the ring, then it's normal. I have the same thing.

 

Did you get it on special or something? (b/c it's listed as $649 now)

oh, and did y'all notice a good difference with the SS lines? never experienced them before.
