It wasn't that bad last night. Took about 5hrs from start to finish, by myself. No scratches or dings anywhere. No greasy stains on interior from mechanic either. Those instructions I copied from the other thread where extremely acurate! Took the Z out last night for a spin. It definitely rides smoother. It lost some of the "hop" it use to have too. I haven't taken it around any curves yet to see how it performs. It's definitely a job that takes patience and I'd only recommend it for someone that enjoys working on their car and definitely has more than the basic hand tools.

damn this car. damn this car to hell!!! im so pissed at this install. its been 3 hours and im nowhere near getting done. in fact, im still on my first spring (of 2, the rears are already done).

im having a problem with the top middle nut, i think its call the spring cap nut? when i try to loosen it, the whole nut and bolt turn. the one on the other side loosened up fine though. whats the deal with it?

ALSO, what am i supposted to do if i have a leaking ball joint? i got so mad that i.....lets just say the damn rubber seal popped and a grease came out. can i pop it back in?

any help would be appreciated. asap please. my car is on jack stands. my nitrous system was easier to install then this.

ok so i stopped with the problem side and went ahead and did the passenger side. everything came on and off in a breeze. 2 hours for the passenger side. all i have to do is torque all the bolts down to spec.

i figured out what the problem was, so nevermind and thanks.

honestly, after i figured out what i was doing wrong, it took just 2 hours for the passenger side and an hour and a half for the driver side. as for the diharia icing on my crap cake, i was pulling out of my garage to go for a test drive about an hour ago and my car scraped bottom from front to back. lol. sucks. it should be ok once i put the 19's on (17's now). but that also means that in the winter, my car will have to stay out of the garage since my 17's have been converted to winter wheels. yay. then again, i didnt want to put any money into it just for a 1 inch drop, thats why i got the eibach sportlines.

Now I'm @#$#@$ up a storm becuase Nissan used that dumb as-s bolt on the top of the strut, (honda uses allen keys, makes it 10xs easier.
I don't remember it being this hard when I lowered the Z. I don't think I unbolted the sway bar or upper A arm. just the upper 3 bolts from the engine bay (under strut bar), lower control arm bolt, and brake lines. Then had someone step on the rotor to lower the control arm to give me space to pull the strut out. I might be wrong though. As for the bolt on top of the strut to take the hat off, I like it better then the allen keys honda uses, (lowered many hondas, including the 3 civics I had) cause those allen holes tend to strip when getting old and you don't have that much grip holding a little L shaped straw sized piece of metal.

makes you think twice about going to a shop. Maybe only do the rear, and bring to a shop to do the fronts...
