If 2004.5/2005 oem 350Z front bar revision's are true, that oem front bar is likely just about as stiff as the Nismo front bar. In any event, you are better off making another bar choice, one that is adjustable, has collars if you prefer, from a brand name you trust at a price point you feel is justified. Evo350, Stillen, Hotchkis and Eibach come to mind.

My comment's on the amount of stiffness from the Nismo bars comes from seeing the specs on them concerning how much force they can leverage and knowing how much the 2003/2004 oem bar's can leverage. 2004.5/2005 front bar's are said to have stiffer hollow walls making them stiffer.

i've read a couple of the reviews on the board, but besides pricing...i can pick up a set of nismo's right now front and back for a good price, but doesn't seem like people think they're that great... i know they're not adjustable, but i don't think i will be needing to adjust them very often. i want to pick up some sways soon for the track.
also, any input on hollow vs. solid?

I just don't like the Nismos because I think they're overpriced. (They are selling the brand name rather than just the goods.)

I personally think the hollows are better because they're lighter and just as strong. (I don't remember the exact formulas, but a hollow bar with a certain inner and outer diameter can be just as strong as a heavier solid bar of a lesser diameter.) But a few people who have driven them have disagreed based on the way it feels.
I do place some stock in their opinions, yet I know how easy it is to believe one feels something that's just not there. Could they tell in a double-blind test? Probably not. But still, different bars might have some slightly different properties that might be felt. I just doubt they're significant enough to make any kind of performance difference.
