besides their reputation, what makes brembo so good? can anyone say what physical features make their brakes good?

 

Mine are a purty gold color...

 

Larger diameter disk mean more area to grip, greater heat disipation, and more toque on the wheel to stop it.

(... and they look purtty)

 

but any brake upgrade does that

 

maybe its becasue they are race-proven?

 

So are Wilwoods (Nascar) , Stoptechs(SCCA, Speed channel, PCA, VCA, etc.) and AP racing brakes. (LeMans) Most BBK are race proven, its all in the name and marketing, because they have established a reputation for quality products and have been around for a lil while. But today, their brakes are in no way better than Stoptechs or AP and personally I'd take those other 2 brands over Brembo. Today, it seems like Brembo BBK are almost more for bling than for racing even though they are still a fabulous product. But they seem like more of a status symbol sayin, hey i can afford brembos instead of hey my car is set up for the track.
