Stillen/AP Racing 2pc BBK: SQUEEEEEEEAK!
I love the way these brakes stop my car. Normal stopping effort is rewarded with easy-to-modulate, linear deceleration. A couple times, when I have had to hit the brakes hard, my brakes bit instantly, hauling my car down to a stop in very short order. But man, these brake pads do squeak! (There's a lot of brake dust, too.)
I'm still using the pads that came with the front and rear kits, all of which were meticulously bedded-in. I very gradually increased the braking pressure over the first 500 miles. When they are cold, I don't hear a peep out of them. But as they warm up, they begin to squeak. After 10-20 minutes of normal, in-town driving, these brakes make my car sound like a city bus. If you heard this sound from a set of stock brakes, you'd swear you needed new pads.
I want to maintain the grippy nature of these brakes, but eliminate squeaks and brake dust. Is this an impossible dream, or is there a new set of brake pads in my [near] future that will satisfy?

FYI the Stoptechs come stock with Axxis Ultimates in front and OEM Porsche in rear. The squeaking isn't too bad, but if it is worse in winter I'll probably change the pads.

Try our bed-in procedures here:
http://www.stoptech.com/whitepapers/bedincontents.htm
Noise should go away until you wear off the pad transfer layer again. When that happens, bed them again!
Hawk HPS is a good low dust, low noise pad if it's available in your caliper shape. The pad does not have as much bite as an Axxis Ultimate however...it's all tradeoff's.

I actually have the Stoptech Stage 2 kit for my G35X, overall pretty good, except for the noise a low speed. I've tried following the recommended bed in procedure on the Stoptech site. The sqeek went away but came back after a day or two
