Is there a 17" wheel that can go over 14" stoptechs?

from what Jason said... it might not fit Z33 calipers...
STOPTECH recommends at least 2mm clearance, this has about 3~4mm.

I could print out the Z33 355mm template but I don't think you guys would be running the 17x10 +12mm offset anyways. But the answer is getting closer!

Yeah and they look great for the price, especially the concave ones.

What chart?

This first picture shows that I printed the template correctly with the right dimensions.

The rest is self-explanitory

Planning on putting wheel weights on the inside of your wheel? Looks like your going to run your sticky wheel weights on the out side lip and make sure to cover it with the metal tape for the track...

Definatlly not gonna fit for the Z33... The Z33 caliper sits Forward (Closer to the spokes) that extra .16" ... almost 5mm CLOSER to that part of the wheel that bends down... It would work if there is a 5mm spacer with those wheels... but then were looking at a 7mm offset... That will be like running my 18x9.5 +27mm with a 25mm spacer...wont clear the front on the Z33...

:-/

Great try though!

I'm going to e-mail John again and have him redo the Z33 template, printed out correcty this time.

What size are you Z33's owners planning on running up frony anyways? 17x8? 17x9? What offset?

I need to know so I can have John check specifically.

17x9 + 20mm is a limited production offset and only comes in 4 bolt patern

I would say Z33 wheels are

17x10 +25
17x9 +35
17x9 +15

there are no real good offset for the front.

Personally I would run the 17x9 +35 with a 10mm spacer in front

problem is... 17x9 +35 is too tucked in compared to 17x10+25mm rear...

and 17x9 +15mm front is too far out compared to 17x10 +25mm.. :-/

I must have read my catalog wrong in the dark last night and missed that the +20 was only 4... :-/

You should all get together and petition tirerack to order the Weds TC-005 in the 17x10 et 15 offset and the 17x9 et 20. Those fit perfect on the Z and will clear all 14" brakes. You can even run the 17x9 all around and throw a 15mm or 20 mm spacer in the back to space it out like I do sometimes

The wheels should come in under $300 each and are lighter than TE37/CE28/ SSR Comp forged one piece!

I just sent John an e-mail.
John I believe the template was printed wrong when you tested the wheels. When I first printed the template I got the same result you did, but I found out the template was printed wrong. The dimensions were actually smaller than what they should be. When you print the template there is an option to minimize to page, you want to deselect all the printing options. That will make the template print out with the exact measurements intended. As you can see the 14" STOPTECH did clear my 17x10 +12 wheel, however not very many people will be running this size up front. It is very rare even with the 240SX crowd to be running this size up front. I have a lot of Z33 owners that are still curious as to what wheel will fit. If you could go back and do the template again, that would be very helpful. Most Z33 owners will be running the 17x9 +35 up front, so you can test it on that size FN01R-C.

Much Thanks,
Victor

Do you have any pictures of this fitment? I like those wheels a bunch. About twice the price I paid for the 5Zigen's but still very nice, espcially the neon yellow/green. Hahah.

seeing all offsets suck for the Z33 front...

you could always ask 5zigen to make a special 17x9+25, 5bolt FN01R-C exclusive for performancenissan

Too bad it's not available in a 10" width. And the lowest offset offered is a +25, which is good for Z33 owners. I would have to run a 33mm spacer to make that fit right on my car.

You know that's possible if you can get enough orders.

The wheels I got aren't even listen on 5Zigen's webpage. Matte Black not listen for 17x10.

I just ran accross a post on rennlist where one guy 450F with a temp gun. That was with the Porsche "big reds". Before seeing the post, I merely guessed 400F because folks have boiled their 500F+ brake fluids before. I haven't on my 14" kit, but I'm sure others with higher hp cars and race tires have.
