I will pick it up on saturday, hopefully the install goes well. I am familiar with changning brake pads but not rotors/lines/fluid. Hopefully all goes well.

any tips, DIY, suggestions are appriciated. I found a DIY for brake pads but not rotors/lines. If anyone has info please let me know

THanks

If you have not changed out lines before I honestly would take it somewhere. Not being a d!ck as I am all about DIY but there are consequences to doing the lines worng that could end up costing you a LOT more. Where in Socal are you?

if you ordered from stoptech, their instructions are pretty damn good.

if you did not, go to stoptech's website, under technical, and you'll find excellent instructions.

good luck. it's not as tough as you may think it is.

i never changed out brake pads in my life, but took up the challenge of installing a stoptech BBK, front and rear, with new rotors, pads, braided lines, and calipers.

-check for clearance by turning the steering wheel left/right with the tire off to make sure your new lines don't get pinched
-apply some of that grease on the back of the pads to prevent squealing (some say it makes taking off the pad later on harder, but I have had zero squeaks since my install)
-properly bed everything in. again folow the instructions on stoptech's website

and a couple of thousand miles later, i'm still allive must mean i did something right. prolly saved myself $300-$400 bucks

Having a friend help is a must. Its critical to have two people for bleeding the brakes. Best tip I can give you is make 100% sure when you're bleeding the brakes that you don't empty the resivour on the master cylinder. If you do, its a nightmare to get air bubbles out of the abs module.

Thanks for the info!!! I will check stoptechs website for instructions. I am looking for a friend who has done this before to help, but no luck, no one I know has done brake lines.

-I am in the downey/cerritos area.

thanks for the tips thus far. keep them coming if you have anymore

Well it's all good. I haven't heard any bad reviews on Axxis pads, so I will be happy either way. I am hoping this takes care of the squeaks my breaks make, as well as brings back the bite they had when i bought the car. Next project is to get some rims so I can show off those slotted rotors.

Picked my kit up today!!! I am stoked, and can't wait to install, unfortunately it won't be until next week.

I did end up recieving slotted rotors with Hawk pads, not Axxis, steel brake lines, 3 bottles of brake fluid, and that was it. I can't wait to install
